DCS to Yokogawa equipment migration

Our blue chip mining client has core control systems components that are reaching the end of useful life and require replacement. During a major plant upgrade in 2011,  a new DCS (Yokogawa) was installed which enabled a path to replace the existing control systems throughout the plant substations.  Substations have been progressively migrated from the existing DCS to Yokogawa equipment since 2014.  In 2018/19 the substation that has been completed is the Module 2 Grinding Substation which included a DCS replacement as well as two lube systems for the mills.  IES managed the project and undertook hardware and software design and implementation as well as installation supervision, pre-commissioning commissioning of the upgrade.
