I&E Systems has specialised in engineering functional safety systems for process safeguarding since its inception.
We have a thorough understanding of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 and have applied them in a simple, effective manner in many applications.
Our goal is to ensure full compliance in the most efficient manner.
Our Functional Safety Management Framework has been reviewed and approved by TUV Rheinland. The framework comprises procedures, guidelines and templates that have been developed and refined in practice.
Seven engineers in our team have the qualification FS Eng issued by TUV.
The simple principles we use are:
- establish clear and objective safety requirements
- define clear interface, boundaries and responsibilities
- prepare a comprehensive plan so that everyone understands what is to be done, by whom and when
- involve the client early in the process so that their role in the process is understood and planned
- maintain clear traceability of the requirements and conformance to the standards
